Everyone has to start somewhere. For Gap, it was in an unassuming little store in San Francisco with a handful of employees. Since Donald and Doris Fisher spotted a gap in the jeans market back in 1969, we’ve seen a lot of changes. Nowadays, we’re a $16bn turnover company, employing 150,000 people and operating out of around 3,000 stores worldwide. We’re an established name on high streets and shopping malls across the U.S, as well as the U.K, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Canada, France and Japan. And our parent company, Gap Inc, has big plans, both for our future and our sister brands, Banana Republic and Old Navy.

In the U.K, Ireland and Northern Ireland, 6,000 people help bring our particular brand of high street fashion to customers, new and old, through some 148 stores via our Gap, Gap Kids and BabyGap brands. And keeping them coming back time and time again takes a lot of energy, planning and, above all, creative thinking.


Right now, everybody’s talking about us. Fashion commentators have heaped praise on our latest collections. And our advertising campaign is taking our message of individuality and freedom of expression to a whole new generation of potential devotees. But, as well as investing heavily in a consistent global strategy and getting the hottest of hot designers on board to create key pieces to wow our customers, we’re also looking for people to wow us with their ideas, energy, enthusiasm - and individuality…
