General Responsibilities:

• Overall finance leadership and management of key business planning processes including: Long Range Plan, Investment Analysis, and the implementation of financial controls with ongoing financial review.
• Partner with FP&A & Company Planning Director to support core financial processes including: forecasts, quarterly business reviews, annual budget and monthly close.
• Primary business partner to VP of Strategic Alliances in shaping long-term strategy and execution of strategic plans for the Division.
• Partner with VP of Strategic Alliances and VP of Merchandising to ensure product and third party stores meet strategic goals for sales performance, customer experience and Gap Inc. standards.
• Partner with VP of Strategic Alliances to review Franchise business plans and conduct financial performance reviews
• Responsible for managing financial growth in a rapidly changing environment. Must be able to anticipate internal and external changes, drive leadership team to ensure structure, processes, and organisation appropriately evolve to support business.
• Ensure team is resourced and equipped with necessary knowledge, tools and business partner relationships to ensure success of function's financial plans
• Provide leadership to team in managing workflow and priorities and ensuring adequate resource allocation and matching of skills with workload.
• Participate in the recruitment and development of talent within the department and the Division.

Financial Responsibilities:

• Fiduciary accountability for the overall leadership, strategy, and management of the Finance Function for Strategic Alliances
• Communicate risks and opportunities in plans, forecasts and open to buy to Senior Management
• Responsible for key business metric reporting including sales performance, and real estate growth.
• Provide leadership to the Franchise Planning team to support the achievement of business plans and sales and margin goals
• Identify risks and opportunities for products, categories and markets through historical and trend analysis.
• Maintain a broad view of the business results in support of merchandising decisions on assortments


Operations Responsibilities:

• Sets the strategic direction of financial systems and processes that support creation and growth of Strategic Alliances business model.
• Lead development of finance related operational processes within team and between cross-functional partners to ensure efficient processes flow of information and quality decision-making.
• Owns the overall system and process infrastructure development from the processing of an order until delivery of product to customer
• Provides leadership over sales administration team, who are accountable for processing of orders, customer orders status and logistics execution meeting the service levels set by Sales and Merchandising.
• Resolves escalated problems while ensuring VP Finance & VP Strategic Alliances are knowledgeable of issues and best practices that can impact success


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Strong desire to work within a growing division
• Superior ability to work within an environment of ambiguity & adapt well to change
• Seasoned international business experience including in-depth financial management experience with total finance accountability for a business. (Retail systems and logistics experience a plus)
• Must exhibit sound business judgment and ethics and be solution oriented
• Demonstrated competencies in executive management, leadership and problem solving
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated success in planning and directing several high level projects simultaneously across large corporation with multitude of key functional partners
• Ability to formulate strategies and identify trends through analysis of various data
• Ability to interact cooperatively and direct a team toward a common goal
• Ability to act as a positive role model to peers and subordinates
• Ability to motivate and lead department and cross functional teams
• Strong ability to influence senior leaders across functions
• Clear and concise written, verbal and presentation skills

• Wholesale and franchise knowledge a plus; prior retail knowledge preferred


2) Minimum educational level:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
• ACA accredited (or equivalent)

3) Minimum experience:

• 10 + years of related business experience, with 5 years of supervisory experience in Finance
• Franchise experience preferred

4) Other requirements:

• Available for international travel
• Attending late night or early morning global conference calls might be required.
• Available some weekends or evenings
• This is a localised role (not ex-pat role)
